Green Pricing

The term "green power" is used to define power generated from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, geothermal, hydropower and various forms of biomass.  The development of green power has been limited by the fact that it is more expensive to produce than electricity generated by nonrenewable sources.   

Green pricing is an optional plan that allows customers an opportunity to support the development of green power.  Participating customers pay a premium on their electric bill to cover the extra cost of the renewable energy.
